In Heat

It was sooooo hot today that I rode home with my shirt off.  I got a few stares there cruising home in my bra, but what the hell do I care?  I don’t know anyone around here … my air is out in the car and it was 95 at lunchtime … and here in North Carolina it STAYS humid.  You almost need a snorkle so that you can swim around in the air … ick.

I’m too well insulated for all of this … *gulps nice, cold tea*

By the way … this heifer at school today was in the hall with me and, after I remarked about how hot the Bio building was, said, “Well, at least you’re not in Texas where it is already 100 this early in April”.

So what, dumb ass?  We’re cooler by five damn degrees?  Forgive me for not getting on my knees in Thanksgiving over that little tidbit … geez.  I hate people who won’t let you bitch …

  1. I’m extremely jealous. I was so tempted to do the exact same thing today (I’m in Mississippi, and I know all about humidity.)

    I had the shirt pulled up…and then…

my dad’s friend pulled out right behind me.

    *ARRG*

Plus everyone around knows me and our family. ICK. Can’t wait for the anonimity of college life.

  2. That is too hot, if it never got above 60, it would be fine with me.  Of course, chicks driving without tops on would be an advatage of a hotter climate.

  3. ugh , i hate you warm climate people…it was 43 today…grrrr

    😀

  4. hahhahaaahhaa 😀

I thought I was the only one who took my shirt off in the car on hot days!!!!

More and more each day, I learn that I have more in common with you, then I thought.

Yes, I do recall we had a certain xanga member make a post complain’in there was too much bitching in the community. No names mentioned of course. 😛

And speaking of insulation, you should check out my latest post, freaky coincedence. 😉

  5. And in Texas it would be a dry heat.  Did you tell her that?

  6. Our house AC is broke and someone was supposed to fix it between 9 and 12 yesterday.  They called at 8:30 (while my wife was taking our daughter to school) and she wasn’t home, so they didn’t come.   She called back and left a message at 8:40 that she was home, but they never answered it.  Finally at 2:00 she called and said, “where the hell are YOU?” Unapologetic, they explained that she wasn’t home BEFORE the time frame when they were supposed to come, and (six months pregnant and unendeared to heat generally) she said

“I just made the apointment yesterday, why do you need to confirm?”

“Well, do you still want to keep the appointment,” they asked.

“I kept the appointment, where were you?” she said.

Later that night they called saying they could come over.  We told them they lost our business, we found someone else.

    Nothing like this heat, eh?
