I think the reason Sinead O’Connor shaved her head was so that people would take her music seriously and not chalk her up as another pretty face. The woman has great features … those eyes alone are enough to strike envy in any woman’s heart. She also has damn near perfect skin.

I think she wasn’t happy with the attention her looks brought her and did that as a kind of Swan to ugly ducking…but it didn’t work…as you said she has strikingly good features…and now being a mother I think she feels more content with her family life and just life in general… it shows in her outward appearence. Over doing it for the music….well Julie Driscole..think thats how you spell it beat her to it decades ago.
I remember reading about the hair and beauty issue when I was a teen. I believe you are right. 😀
