Stupid Ex-Husband Tricks

Trick #3
Jason, the ex, was completely obsessed with getting a Playstation in the fall of ’97.  We were slated to get married in September of that year, but he somehow talked me into postponing our wedding so that he could get the video game stuff.
(Where was my head?  Oh yeah, up his ass.  I forgot.)

Making Up, My Way

Yesterday we fought
Over bills and computer time
And who is going to do laundry

Still today we kiss
Because everything else is trival

But I still want my computer time
And you need to pay the rent
And pick up your underwear
Jennifer is not here
She’s in Xanga

Quote of the Day …

The universe is merely a fleeting idea in God’s mind — a pretty uncomfortable thought, particularly if you’ve just made a down payment on a house. – Woody Allen

Site Key
How to navigate this site …
I write for me.  I realize that not everything that I post will interest everyone.  It’s not meant to.  Bluemoo, for instance, is not much of a poem person.  Others may not want to read my ex-husband jabs/ancedotes or the warped introspections … perhaps you visit this site only for the quote of the day.
I’m just glad that you do visit …
I basically write to purge things from my heart and mind.  I do hope, however, that if you read something here that will touch you, make you laugh, make you feel a little better about your life, give you a smile … basically have some positive impact on you and your day.
To make this easier for you…
I had decided to color code the headers.  I have doing this to some extent already, but I will publish today the key for it.  This way you can skip to what you consider the good stuff.  Enjoy!

Quote of the Day
Here you will find words for your pondering pleasure.

Ex-Husband Bashing
With these crazy snipets, I’m just making a little lemonade, ya know???
Poetry by Me
It’s not always good, but it is always heartfelt.
Reasons Why I’m Warped
True but zany things from my childhood that have lead me to this point of insanity.
Song Lyrics
Lyrics that really pack a wallop … from popular and obscure works.

Sandwich every bit of criticism between two layers of praise.
– Mary Kay Ash

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.
– North DeKalb

Criticism should not be querulous and wasting … but guiding, instructive, inspiring.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Criticism is more effective when it sounds like praise.
– Arnold Glasow
