update

Finals are over and I have a month off from school. A trip to DC is in the works and Gray and I have lots of stops on the Christmas tour to make. It will be nice to catch a breath before diving back into college again.

I found out Friday night that my biological father died. I struck me rather oddly – there was more impact there than I had expected. I’d never met him or been shown a picture of him even. All I really knew about him was his name. I searched through the local paper’s online obits and found out more about him in ten minutes than I’ve learned in almost 26 years. How sad is that?

I’m off to make a list of art galleries in the DC area to check out next week. Any suggestions?

  1. DC has a ton of free touristy stuff.  All kinds of museums and stuff.  A quick circuit of the mall is a must.  I’ve only ever made it to the Natural History museum, but some day I’ll get the rest in.

  2. Gads. I hope you’re okay about the death.

Other than some historical museums, I can’t think of much to recommend in DC. Most of the East Coast ones I’m familiar with are in NYC.

  3. wow. didn’t you ever wonder about him before? try to find out as much as you could?

I hope you’re feeling all right. *hugs*
